This is when foods like corn flakes became super popular (Kellog). Kellog, the name sake of the cornflake brand, also happened to be a massive advocate of circumcision for the same reason, and is part of the reason why so many american men are circumcised in comparison to western counterparts. 🙇♂️

2024-07-15 18:50:32 +0000 UTCAn ex friend of mine recommended I watch Girls because Hannah’s antics were ‘relatable’; I watched it and found it entertaining but could not fathom how or why she identified with that character. Like that’s so not the point and actually disturbing tbh… maybe I’m exaggerating a little here but to me that’s like the men who miss the whole point of American Psycho and find themselves identifying with Patrick Bateman. Anyway I’m not white and my ex friend is, so maybe it’s just something intrinsic to the white girl experience and I don’t get it 😭 She did end up being a terrible friend to me and some of the shit she pulled at the end of our friendship gave very much Hannah from Girls; maybe it’s paranoia but at some point it felt straight up like she was TRYING to emulate/model her behavior after that character
