How to Improve
Added 2024-07-17 22:24:13 +0000 UTCI kind of pulled the trigger on the earlier vote since it usually is rather one-sided when I do these, and I don't particularly mind either way. But as some of you can see now, my Patreon isn't doing so hot compared to others of similar size, and I am curious what I can do to help it grow. When I set all this up, I mostly looked at other offers from similar and bigger authors.
However, there is a good chance I messed something up or missed something when I did, and any feedback is highly appreciated.
I allowed for multiple votes for this vote, and if there is a call for a higher tier, I would schedule the next vote for later today or tomorrow to see how it would be structured.

One thing that i've seen other author do is commissioning art about the story. I don't know about the cost or if it will benefits the visibility of your story, but I know people appreciate it 😁

2024-07-18 22:38:12 +0000 UTCThank you! Yeah, I'm terrible at advertising. My ads on RR were also quite poorly received. I also make a point of not spamming my followers. But maybe I need to refine the way I present my stuff and ask questions a bit more frequently as my banner doesn't seem to be working.

2024-07-18 01:20:24 +0000 UTCI just looked into what collections are exactly, and it was quite easy to set up, which is handy since my Index is borked. I will create a collection for each of the books after 2. (Book one is only partially on here, and will it be stubbed in the near future) Thx for pointing that out.

2024-07-18 01:17:48 +0000 UTCI didn’t realise you had a Patreon for a while. But to be fair the RR app has the support the author button in the last place your eyes look. I think a big hook for a lot of patrons of other authors is the advance chapters and the they mention it semi regularly. Though you need to find a balance so you don’t come off as needy. Edit: another thing I find useful on other Patreon pages is when the author makes collections of chapters for volumes and has chapters whose titles match the titles on RR to reduce the friction of finding chapters to read

2024-07-17 22:34:54 +0000 UTCI think, to some degree, your issue is visibility. I love your story, but I think I stumbled upon it on RR. I think you just need to find a way to get your name and story out there.
