10/2/24: A Considerably Less Inconvenient Update

Well, after a day and a half where it looked like I actually might serve time on a jury that could go on for a few weeks, I was excused yesterday! Which is, admittedly, a relief of sorts, as it means I can get back to work and continue enjoying the spooky season.
Thank you all for your patience and support! I spent time yesterday finishing the first draft of Chapter 49, and after undergoing a polish today, I intend to have it posted here by end of day today, so keep your eyes open!

I got my jury duty deferred because I was hospitalized the first time. Kind of glad because that posting was right after Halloween, which is a nightmare because there are a lot of cases. My deferrment was in March and we were out in a few hours with no jury selections, all cases were settled
