(Though realistically I think his BG 3 appearance is the last given that he has nothing to gain and everything to lose with further appearances.) Hyunmin says he is 3-dan in Go and that's pretty high for amateur players; it's roughly top 10% among amateur go players. The thing is Hyunmin achieved it very young at age 8. and he was offered to become a pro-Go player but when he went to Go dojangs, he repeatedly crushed everyone and eventually lost interests. Dongmin really didn't stand a chance. Yeon-Seong says her husband to be would need to make a lot of money since Ah-Yonng eats like an elephant. Back when Black garnet aired, Hyunmin was actually considered the strongest player in Genius history. The consensus from the community was like Hyunmin > Jinho > Sangmin > Dongmin by the end of S3 from what I've seen. In the betting site, the winning chance for the Grand Final after the first episode was Hyunmin - Gyungran - Jinho = Sangmin - Junseok - Dongmin = Yohwan. You can see how a lot of people attributed Dongmin's win to the advantage and thought Dongmin wouldn't fare well against other best players on a even ground. 2025-09-27 18:07:51 +0000 UTCThe way that each of them thought of the other in the opening interview was funny lol but it was pretty wholesome that Dongmin saw what kind of a player Hyunmin was and make that alliance after just episode 5. It showed how highly he thought of Hyunmin just halfway through the show. The behind the scenes interviews was cool to see as well. I was surprised at first to see Dongmin pick Twelve Janggi as the first game but he must have had a lot of confidence that he could win the new game. And of course no surprise to me that he won the betting final game. You said you saw who was in season 4. Who are some of them?
