Le Mans 1968 - Porsche 906 #42

For the WSC60's Porsche 906.

Christian Poirot and Porsche were a guarantee for the French racing scene in the late 60's and early 70's; Poirot simply loved Porsche and ran the 904, 906, 910 and 908 during his career as a racing driver. From small club races and hillclimbs, all the way to Le Mans.

906-107 was originally owned by Robert Buchet before briefly being owned by Annie Soisbault and Albert Cognet. Poirot took over the car in 1967 and ran it until early 1969 with much success. Sadly, his Le Mans 1968 entry landed him a disqualification after keeping his engine running during a pitstop.

Nice choice, much nicer than the 1969 version with the colossal Porsche logo! Great execution too.
