For the WSC60's Ferrari 250LM.
Arthur W. Swanson was among the more wealthy privateer club racers from the USA, starting his racing career in 1959 with a little MG before switching almost exclusively to Italian cars. He achieved moderate success with various Alfa Romeos before acquiring a Abarth-Simca 2000 GT in 1964, which helped him get some decent results in SCCA events.
In 1966 he got his hands on Ferrari 250LM #5845, previously owned by Gotfried Köchert and piloted to an outright win at Zeltweg by Austrian racing legend Jochen Rindt. Swanson then painted the car white with a blue stripe and road registered the car with the plate "MP69". He didn't just use the 250LM as a road car however, and ran the Targa Florio, Sebring, Monza and the Nürburgring WSC races in the 1966 season. He even aimed to enter Le Mans in 1966 but was only allocated as a reserve entrant. At the 1966 Sebring 12 Hours, Swanson & Robert Ennis qualified 37th but failed to finish.
