Paris 1000km 1968 - Porsche 908LH #28

For the Kunos 908LH. Previously released in the Porsche 908LH skinpack on RD.

The 908 might be one of the most successful Porsche sports cars of all time, produced in large numbers and in several variants, each delivering Stuttgart international and national wins. The Langheck might be the prettiest one of the bunch, though it failed to win Le Mans (coming close twice though!).

This car from the Paris 1000km almost escaped my clutches as there are no photos of the car anywhere. Two other 908LH's were entered in the race, 12 and 14, of which there are photos (as these two were quite dominant). 28 however, despite qualifying 2nd fastest, received some sort of penalty and had to start all the way back in 25th. Driven by Herbert Linge and French racing driver Robert Buchet to a 12th place finish.
