Rob Slotemaker was one of the Netherlands' most famed racing drivers from the 60s and 70s. His cars ranged from Porsches to Minis, and everything in between. Including this ex-Alan Mann Ford Mustang. Slotemaker ran this car for a handful of events before selling it on to Serge Trosch in Belgium.
He easily qualified for pole position with a laptime 2 seconds faster than 2nd place. However, the race itself was plagued by heavy rain, causing Slotemaker great grief. He spun out several times, with the Mini of Hans Oskamp taking the lead in the rain. Only the massive power advantage of the Mustang saved Slotemaker's "easy" race.
