For the WSC60's Lola T70 MK3GT.
Few racing cars have truly stuck around for years with regular usage, or wins. But, T70 chassis SL73/102 is just one of them. With over 50 racing events logged in chassis 102, this is likely one of the most successful T70's ever built.
Raced and owned by Irish stripclub owner Sid Taylor, 102 started its career in the summer of 1967, being among the earliest privateer owned and ran T70 MK3GT's ever. While a DNF on it's debut, a follow-up race at Norisring brought the car it's first victory. In 1967 alone, the car won about 5 of 8 races it ran. The season ending event for chassis 102 was the Kyalami 9h, where it crashed out quite heavily.
Returning to the tracks in 1968, the car looked rather worn out at the 1968 BOAC 6 Hours. Here, driven by Dave Charlton and Craig Fisher (quite the international duo!), the car failed to finish. Chassis 102 was clearly not satisfied and proceeded to win 4 British sports car races in a row right afterwards. Chassis 102 would be sold to John Woolfe in June of 1968 and German racer Bernd Seidler in late 1969, who raced it until 1971.
