On my quest to make a livery for every historic racing series, NASCAR was one highly requested by you all. Of course, as an uneducated European, my knowledge on NASCAR history is miniscule, so I had to enlist some help in the form of Youtube's finest creator; Jake (GPLaps).
His help has been very valuable in putting this car together, from decals to rare angles. I've also received information on Don Tarr, who drove this car in 1970, from Just Grayson:
So for some info that year, it was don's 4th year in the sport, in 1969 he was taken notice of due to driving ray fox's dodges chargers to a 6th at the world 600, a 9th at the national 500 and a 8th in the firecracker 400. In 1970 don would then again run only run 17 races. He did quite well in the winged cars scoring a impressive 6th at daytona for the firecracker 400, don was a owner driver that year but at the firecracker 400 he would drive a Plymouth for don brown in a sponsor deal with coca cola. He would finish 37th in the points and after only running four races in 1971 and DNQ'ing at all 3 races attempted in 72 he would retire from racing competition until 1982.
Don passed away in 2022.
Further notes:
Text on the hood is warped due to the aged mapping
Same goes for parts of the rear
You guys are awesome though, thanks for 300 subs
