It's only on this watch that I've fully appreciated this episode as a Kate centric. Cassidy helped her get close to her Mother, but she failed at taking accountability for what she did, when she finally got the chance to speak to her. All her Mum wanted was an apology. On island - it's Juliet that helps her get back to Jack, but not only that, she makes Kate realise that she messed up. And this time around she actually does take accountability and apologises to Jack. For trying to help, when it wasn't needed. This show continues to amaze me. Love these reactions too! You guys are awesome!

2021-02-18 19:51:02 +0000 UTCOne thing that the flashbacks show to me and make relevant on the island is when Kate says to Jack: "I should have listened to you. I wanted to come back to help you, but you didn't need me too. I'm so sorry." Then she breaks down in tears. Its similar to what she did with her Mother. She desperately wanted to help her, but her Mother didn't even want help and that evokes painful memories on the island. I think its important to remember that even though Kate messses up alot... she does try and do the "right" thing by helping others.
