Alguecool has been hard at work building up Japan's most common 2L sports car from 1967-1970, the Fairlady 2000.

After 2 years of recovering from the tragic loss of my original Japanese race car models, I felt it was time to get back with a properly done Japanese race car. Historically this model was homologated for production GT racing, rivalling the Lotus Elan and Abarth 1300/2000 models of which a few raced in Japan at the time. By 1969, the only cars entered in GT races were either Fairlady's or Honda S800's - which were in a different class.

The Fairlady also took victories outside of Japan, even participating in rallies and SCCA events from the mid 60s onwards, being the first Japanese sports car to do so. We aim to build up two race spec models: 1968 race trim and 1969 widebody race trim. These should be very enjoyable to race in one-make races or in multiclass races alongside AD3R's S800 RSC.

With Alguecool's insane pace and quality of work, I'd say this car should be ingame before the late autumn of this year.
