So emotionally exhausting. Incredible episode. Walt yelling the “We’re a family!” line amidst the absolute destruction of the family... and I think he took Holly on a whim because she was the only member of his family who wasn’t against him in that moment (obviously, I mean, she’s a baby and didn’t have that level of understanding lol), and he was so desperate to not lose everyone he loved. I do also think that yes, Walt absolutely said those things to Skyler on the phone to get her off the hook. He knew the police were there and you could see how he was struggling with even saying certain lines. Skyler’s face kept together for the most part, but there were a few times she let a small amount of confusion pass through, and by the end, I think she understood it all as well. He fabricated a lot and made sure he put it all on himself, making Skyler out to be in fear for her life the entire time, and said what he needed to say to help her. Poor Junior....poor Hank....poor Jesse.

Oh boy....okay, I have beer, tacos, and plenty of Kleenex. Checklist for catching up on episodes 13 and 14... think I’m set. “Ozymandias”, episode 14, is the name of a poem I highly suggest reading, particularly for the sake of its tie to this episode. Its funny - to be so so excited to watch, while simultaneously dreading it. Lots of love!
