I thought about that too. I don’t think its just plot armor or just the horde. The Whispers have a lot of people. We really dont know how many Whispers were among the horde. Even if 1% of the horde are Whispers/people, that is 1000 people. Plus they could always find more walkers. But worse, Alpha is a cult leader. Killing her at this point would have made her a martyr & the Whispers would have taken revenge immediately.

She dreamed of a normal life with Daryl and Henry..and having breakfast and needing to go to the store for ..jam? I think? lol. It showed us that she might be in a better state of mind now. Not having nightmares.
