I also love it you are in season 9! Also when you see Alden, you may be thinking of Gregory (hung by Maggie) or Jared (long haired mouthy a-hole Morgan fed to the walkers). They all three were once in the outside pin inside the Hilltop walls during “All Out War” story arc. Edit: or could be because of what Tomaj said! ;)

This is better known to fans as the line up where we lost Glenn & Abe. When Negan gets up & pauses, he realizes where he is. This was deliberate setting in this episode.
