Violet Van Vyle in Opposite Day Page 6

Herein is where we come to find the central conceit of the story to be revealed. Violet thinks she's invisible, but she is anything but. In addition, everyone around her actually is, to Violet at least, invisible. It's the exact OPPOSITE of what she wanted to happen! That's why the story is called Opposite Day!

I was pretty pleased with myself for coming up with this idea several years ago, as I was pretty sure it had never been done in an ENF context before. (the movie "Johnny English Reborn" did something similar, but with Rowan Atkinson instead of a hot, evil spy chick, so I felt like I was still pretty clever) Since then, though, I've been beaten to the punch by at least one monocular mutant in a tank shaped like a salt shaker whose name rhymes with "Malik Mupreme": which takes away from the originality factor a shade. He, however, just did it more or less as a one-off gag, while I'm basing a whole darned story around it, so I still think I'm bringing something of value to the "blinded by virtual reality ENF" party , if only through sheer audacity.

This story has been rattling around in my head for a while, there are a couple of bits that I've been really looking forward to drawing 😄

Oooh that's going to be fun 😆

Aha! I have an answer for this: the suits force field is right next to her skin and is maintaining pressure so that she always feels like she's wearing the armor 😁

Legmuscle

"You write like Leslie Neilsen acts" is one of the nicest compliments I've ever received 😊

Legmuscle

Yes, I noticed that after I drew a few pages, I seem to have a pattern for these things 😅 This story is putting my armor drawing skills to the test almost as much as my continuity skills 😄

Legmuscle

I think we have very similar alleys 😄

Legmuscle

Excitement! I can already tell this is right up my alley.

ah just like laser lass, it starts with the shoulder... lets hope for a slow removal but something easier for leg's armour drawing skills lol

And so it begins. There quite a lot left to go. On reading the concept of the story I have to agree you are a genius. Even if it ends on an emperor’s new cloths situation the way we get there is the crux of the story. Also you write like Leslie Nealson acts. Deadpan serious and drop dead funny. I’m ready to ride this crazy train to the end.

I wonder how she's not feeling the difference in weight on her left shoulder? I'm sure a device like that would be noticeable.
