At that very moment, she catches the attention of Lars, who you might note is still the cutest boy in Awesome University and still the captain of the rowing team. He wants to resubmit his invitation to the ice cream social, an offer which the old Trudy would have jumped on like a a kitten on friskies. New Trudy, though, is a little more savvy and wants to know why Mr. Lazlo was being such a hound dog around Laser Lass in the recent past. Never mind that the person she's jealous of is herself, some questions deserve answers!
Meanwhile, the invisible squirrels and cheeseburger birds work together to make sure Trudy doesn't get too overheated on such a warm afternoon.

It might not coming off the way I intended, however. I think everyone can have little fits of immaturity now and again, so let's just chalk it up to that and maybe I can try to walk it back a little in a future story 😄

On the flip side though, it is still hurt he is going oogly for, so she should have a different perspective. She has the hots for him and based on the personality presented in the comic at this point she should be jumping all over the opportunity to go out with him, not playing silly little school girl games. She has up to this point been very mature if it bit naive.
