Now that the digital sign-in pad is within range, Laser Lass stretches herself towards the keypad. Though the thought of it is distasteful to our fledgling heroine, she uses the only extremities she has available.

This page is based on an idea that came to me in 2009 or 2010. At that time I was using an ipod shuffle to listen to audiobooks, podcasts and stuff like that (I was an early adopter of podcasts) and I had a tendency to wear button up shirts with a pocket on the front. The ipad shuffle was an iphone-like device that had a touch screen on the front, and I would usually put it in the pocket of my shirt when I was walking from place to place, doing my thing. I would often place it in my pocket screen side in to avoid potential damage to the glass screen.

Sometimes, even though you had to swipe the screen to unlock it, the ipad would suddenly skip ahead or stop. I called this phenomenon a "nipple dial" because the only thing that could be happening was the ipad screen interacting with my nipple through my shirt as it jostled around in my pocket. After this happened a few times, my usual thought process of "What if this happened in a story, but with an attractive naked woman, and in public?" and I came up with this scenario. I can't remember if I had conceived of Laser Lass by this point or not, but the idea of an encumbered superheroine using her nipples to type on a touch screen was there in its entirety.

Point is, this scene has been rattling around in my head for at least 12 years, and its a relief to finally get it out!
