Outrun P5: Haru Concepts
Added 2020-08-30 20:10:01 +0000 UTCOnce again, I pretty much knew what I wanted with Haru's outfit right from the beginning, with the long fluffy coat being my first thought. Once it was on screen though, it looked more retro-futuristic or cyberpunkish to me. So I switched over to a more classic look and swapped the fluff with frills.
I think I got the color right the first time. I did like the white in place of black, but since I'm going for a organized crime look with this series I felt the dark purple sold that much more than the white.
There's also a few small detail sketches, which I wanted to include more of.... but I got bored, and was taking too long to finish the actual illustration, so I decided to detail them out while finishing that up.
Haru made for a pretty concept sheet though! I don't know what it is about her that makes my rough sketches look so nice, but I certainly appreciate it.
