There are a few guarantees in life. One of those is Taxes.
Added 2020-05-28 20:52:07 +0000 UTCDue to laws being passed in several countries, Patreon has to tax certain pledges starting July 1st. They've of course sent me and other creators emails recommending we be the first to tell you about it.
It sounds like most of you won't actually be taxed, but those of you who are will see a small increase in the price of your pledge. (Affected US residents can expect a 4%-11% tax to be added, depending on location and benefits rewarded.)
I'll be scanning through the benefits myself to make sure everything's legit and see if I can save you from the tax entirely or make it as small as possible. But again, I don't think there's much to worry about.
Patreon will be sending any of you affected by the new taxes an email with more information in the near future. But you can already look into it more here.
Obviously if any of you are affected and have to reduce or remove your pledge, there's no hard feelings. Once you're my patron you're always a patron, money not required. I'm just thankful for the support, past and future.
