It's Adam here with your monthly update for October from the EXP team!
Sword, spooks, and silly season!
EXP is entering Autumn (at least here in the Northern Hemisphere) with an incredibly stacked schedule full of exciting new content for you lucky patrons! On top of our usual slate of content (hello Battlefield 6!), we’ve got a range of bonus content and new experts heading your way in the near future!
In the short term, we need guns… lots of guns… Yep, we’re finally taking a look at one of the most iconic action films of all time: The Matrix. You can expect that episode dropping on our Patreon later today (or in our back catalogue if you’re reading this later on), and it’s everything you could want from a Matrix Expert Reacts episode! Beyond that, you’ll also see another episode on the firearms of Battlefield 6, and a return to the cursed weaponry of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 before on our Patreon before the end of October!
But as I mentioned, we’ve been busily working on a whole load of new, exciting stuff, so let’s jump into that now!

Meet David Rawlings
Next up, we’re incredibly excited to announce that we’ll be bringing our third expert into the EXP fold, as we’ve filmed a slate of new videos with renowned swordsman, and HEMA expert, David Rawlings! We’ve worked with David before, and he’s an incredibly knowledgeable and highly energetic (he nearly cut Dave’s head off on one previous shoot) expert, who is passionate about his subject matter, and loves chatting about how swordplay is depicted in pop culture.
Survival Horror Halloween Special
Last, but certainly not least, we’ve got an extra special bonus episode with Jonathan Ferguson in October. As it’s Spooky Season, we’ve recorded a Halloween Special that focuses on a range of iconic Survival Horror weaponry.
Dave was not a fanAsides from a lot of male wincing and cowering (Dave is famously averse to scary things as anyone who listens to our companion podcast Respec will know), the episode will feature guns from Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Amnesia, Dead Space, and a whole load more!
All in all - there is a lot happening, and a lot to look forward to.

Hooray Rawlings is back!!! But no Dog soldiers for October?😭 I do know some more games with different swords and blades weapons like assassin’s creed 2 has a variety of them with a couple two handed ones in brotherhood like a bearded axe and I believe a one and half hand sword. Though Dave is going to have to play a good amount of the game to get footage as some are locked until you progress into the story. I actually own a Japanese reproduction sword that I had help from a friend on learning how to sharpen it, since he has blacksmith experience. So it isn’t like the typical for display only, it is sharp for cutting if I have to. XD
