EXP Update - August 11th 2025

Hello Patrons!

It's Adam here with your monthly update for August from the EXP team!

We've been incredibly busy over the last month and a bit, which is why it has been over 6 weeks since our last update. So with that in mind, let's roll through everything that you might have missed over the last 6 weeks, and look ahead to some of the exciting new things that you can look forward to across the next month!

But first, as always: thank you!

EXP has been up and running for 6 months now (which has gone by in a blur, mind you), and we’ve just passed 150k subscribers over on our YouTube channel! If you’d have told that to us before we’d started we probably wouldn’t have believed you, but here we are! That success is all down to you - our loyal patrons! Without your support we literally wouldn’t be able to do any of this! And to hammer that point home: let’s talk about our first major update!

Tankfest 2025

Back in late June we headed down to The Tank Museum in Dorset for Tankfest 2025 in preparation of working with the guys down there on some future videos. Tankfest is the museum’s marquee event, and it was quite the spectacle! We were lucky enough to get quite up close and personal with a whole squadron of tanks - with the highlight being the King Tiger.

As many of you might already know, our plan is get Paul ‘Fam The Tank Man’ Famojuro on as one of our next experts, and that will hopefully be happening soon. Our time at Tankfest 2025 allowed us to get hours of footage of the tanks in action, which will go right into the videos you’ll see right here on EXP! So watch this space and keep alert to the rumble of the tanks on the horizon.

EXP x Ready or Not

Another major milestone that EXP hit in June was our first recording in-person with Jonathan Ferguson, the Keeper of Firearms & Artillery at the Royal Armouries Museum in the UK, which houses a collection of thousands of iconic weapons. Our shoot at the Royal Armouries marked our first episode of Firearms Expert Reacts where we had the developers on hand to defend/explain themselves. In this instance it was Sean Gorman and Mark Ranson from VOID Interactive - the developers of tactical shooter, Ready or Not!

The episode is one of our longest ever - clocking in at an hour and twenty minutes - and is an absolute treat if we do say so ourselves. We were able to get hands on with a selection of weapons from the game, and even film Jonathan firing a few of them too! For us here at EXP, we definitely want to work on more episodes like this again in the future, exploring the dynamic between the experts we work with and the devs that make the games they react to!

Community Creations Episode #2 Submissions

Our first Community Mixtape went live at the end of June, and it was a fantastic showing from you, our Patrons, in your first chance to get your clips in front of the experts. The episode in question was eclectic, confusing, and hilarious in equal measures, featuring everything from the classic Western movie, Tombstone to the anime Hellsing Ultimate and even one of our patrons’ ‘Handguns’

Submissions for our second Mixtape episode are still open, so if you’re subscribed on our Extended Episodes or VIP tiers, you can head to this link to submit your clips - https://www.patreon.com/posts/133100572

More Toby Capwell episodes incoming

Next on the horizon is a brand new slate of content with everyone’s favourite armour expert, Toby Capwell. Hot on the heels of the recent Monster Hunter Wilds episode, we’ve got some great new videos coming soon with Toby. Chief among them is a compilation of gaming armour, including but not limited to armour sets from Oblivion Remastered, Bloodborne, and Doom: The Dark Ages. Not stopping there, we also showed Toby a slate of movie armour, with a mix of clips that included Monty Python & The Holy Grail, Dune, Dredd, and Gladiator. Oh, and of course, we couldn’t film with Toby without talking about Warhammer, so, y’know, expect more of that on the channel very soon

All in all - there is a lot happening, and a lot to look forward to.

Thanks again for your support, and we’ll see you on the Discord.

Lots of love,

EXP x

Hopefully, you’ll cover metal gear solid three Delta. And fill in the gaps of the things you didn’t show in the original, like the seven minute conversation we’re naked snake geeks out on all of the enhancements of the 1911 to SIGINT… if only because I think some of them are nonsense

We need some more Hunt: Showdown, the new Mosin Obrez Match will blow his mind. They un-sawed off the sawn-off Mosin (and added the stock back) 😭 They also added a percussion sniper with two-stage reload and some new silenced weapons & sawn-offs, a mini bomb-lance without the lance part (bomb launcher), a butt-loaded carbine, an auto-crossbow... I went through the Gamespot episodes and looked up which ones had/hadn't been done :D https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17FZuM2GAm-tTIFdWu56NGxSHN9Pjtnq8exDcv7O6ph0/edit?usp=sharing
