I always assumed she would buy them back eventually, but thought it wouldn’t happen until after the rerecordings were all complete

2025-06-01 22:49:18 +0000 UTCI’m a little confused by the resentment of this announcement bc I don’t think the Taylor’s version project was in vain at all. Taylor’s ultimate goal was to always own her own work and without Taylor’s versions we probably wouldn’t have eras and without eras I don’t think she could have achieved that goal. I don’t see taylors versions as a gotcha moment or money grab bc If that were the case why not just continue with them?
