S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, nine sausages and too many legs

What do you get when you cross mind-controlling mutants, a vat of radioactive fluid, and the EXP launch party pie? It can only be the third episode of Respec!

Respec is the EXP companion podcast where each week, Adam, Chris and Dave talk through the latest content on the EXP channel.

With the shrieking sounds of Dave’s capture session still ringing in our ears, we gather around the campfire to talk about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, our histories with the franchise and Jonathan’s reaction.

We talk about giant mutants and horrific anomalies (as well as some topics other than the EXP team), the surprising origins of Tennis for Two, games that bully you, and chugging whole cans of condensed milk. Plus, Chris reveals an upcoming non-EXP project he feels very passionate about.

We want to hear from you! Comment underneath this podcast post on Patreon, or drop us a message on Discord.

Another banger of a podcast. Your talk about STALKER 2 being scary did make me think, though, cause I’ve long thought an episode on the guns of GTFO would be really interesting, it has some cool original designs and stuff. But it is often regarded as a very difficult game as well as, not scary as such, but very tense. That being said, a video of you three playing it, or four if you can get Jonathan or someone else along would be incredible.

GSC’s making of Stalker 2 documentary was tough to watch but glad I did. An amazing, but sombering story of resilience. Hearing one dev talk about losing contact with his family during the Siege of Mariupol and seeing his grandfathers house being taken over rocket launcher wielding invaders stood out to me. Another was one dev staying behind while her daughter was moved to safety. Rest in peace former dev Volodoymyr Yezhov KIA outside of Bakhmut in 2022. A former university buddy of mine who’s former military volunteered to fight and I think about him everyday.
