Jonathan Ferguson, an expert in firearms history and the Keeper of Firearms & Artillery at the Royal Armouries Museum in the UK, breaks down some of the most the cursed weapons found in Call of Duty Black Ops 6, including a KSV you can smoke, a questionable Unicorn-themed AS-VAL, and the C9 wearing the skin of Thompson.

Just for information sake, if I remember right the Swedish police rifle that had an interesting scope is actually a variant of the AK5 (Main Swedish service rifle from the 80s until 2024) that in it self is a variant of the FN FNC. So what you have done Dave is create a AK5 and then made the police version of it!

Once in Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, where a Makarov PM and a Desert Eagle get put in a flower pot and "mixed" into one pistol. The other one I thought was in a video looking at cursed Tarkov guns, but I can't find the video again; I just vaguely remember Jonathan saying that they took the top part of one pistol model and put it on the bottom part of another, but I can't remember any specifics beyond that. Might just be going mad on that one.

2025-03-05 04:58:48 +0000 UTCI like how half the objections are to COD's attempts to prove they haven't been accepting money from manufacturers as a way to diffuse PR problems with violent videogames - after all, before they were all 'legally distinct' the accusation was that gun manufacturers were paying infinity ward/Activision to include their guns. Which was seen as bad, but they also don't want them not to be recognisable guns so you've got this dumb middle ground where you can imagine it is a real gun and quite readily tell which one, but for the purposes of people campaigning against guns in games, they can point out 'wait, this isn't actually real, look this bit is slightly too big/in the wrong place'. 'Legally distinct AK' is always the funniest given there's a lot of real guns that are essentially and AK with some slightly different furniture etc. produced in enough volume that they can regard demands for licensing payments by literally saying 'you and what army?'
