im so late on this ep but I think the tortured poets department IS her and joe. it’s a dramatization of their relationship through a theatrical/literary lense. reminds me of nursery rhymes but for a relationship. plus her being the chairman paints her as having the upper hand in the end.

The cover image esp raised questions. The segmentation of the body gives male gaze and more positioning her as an object than the subject if that makes sense?. But also I don’t want to attribute any and everything sexual a woman does to male centric behavior. But that track list… oh that stinky track list. I’m so scared.

And to be crack-y and annoying about Ancient Greek poets and poetry… our modern age Sappho Her homecoming dance braid of it all - I gave “Ancient Greece braids” a Google, and it said it was a sign of wealth. And with all the tiny braids over the summer and now this… idk. There could be a connection. Or she just is in a braid phase. Who tf knows

The only thing I wasn't sure about was the mismatched star signs part, but then it hit me that she probably meant like mismatched stardom signs (her as the biggest pop singer and him as the small indie actor). So I'm just putting it here. Aaand the last thing, if you want a new sign off, I suggest "All's fair in love, poetry, and gossip"/jk

2024-02-06 12:38:34 +0000 UTCI was a firm believer that TS11 will have like max. 3 Toe songs because it looked like she got it out of her system in Folkmore +Midnights (also how their break-up was reported in media, as a sort of the "yeah, it was a long time ago, she's fine/doesn't care" ). But with all these track names and just general vibe, I was wrong once again lol, and this will be official Toe break-up album, maybe with some Tatty as well
