I'm a full time lurker. But I've been made to think that I'm a delusional, sick person for simply picking up on queer themes in her art. This made me feel a lot better and less like a freak

2024-01-09 13:33:46 +0000 UTCJust been thinking about what’s happened these past couple of days and…I just wish Taylor would make a statement herself giving a clear answer. What’s so wild is this isn’t the first article about her sexuality. If you google “you need to calm down Taylor swift bi”, you will see articles talking about whether or not she was trying to signal she’s bi because of that damn wig. And then, yeah, rolling stone had a whole article about Gaylor and that other article asking Dianna Agron about the rumors? I guess the reason the NYT article got a response was because it blew up more? But why are we called crazy for thinking that wig in YNTCD indicates she’s bi because it’s the colors of the bi pride flag when people are out here theorizing the dress she wore to the golden globes is a reference to a snake, hinting at reputation. (I know one is about her sexuality and the other is about the re-recordings, but I’m just trying to point out that we’re only allowed to look into certain things but maybe this example isn’t a fair comparison) At the end of the day, I don’t really care how she identifies. I’ll still think gaylor is fun, but I feel bad for all the fans that are getting harassed online because of the CNN article. A thoughtful response from Taylor would go a long way, but she won’t give it. Would love to know the kind of conversations are had between her and her team about this topic.
