Omg I know this is old but have u heard the theory that “your roommates cheap ass screw top rose” is Taylor jokingly referring to herself as the roommate because the line that follows is “i see you everyday now” honestly this theory blew my mind & outside of any kaylor / tily discourse it makes sooo much sense abt the dialogue in the song

2024-03-03 03:27:35 +0000 UTCBecause WCS came out as a follow up to Dear John, I WAS thinking that Maroon was a follow up to Red/All Too Well so I googled Jake Gyllenhall - Incense and he does in fact love incense... It's not proof but I thought I'd share since it came up that Jake wouldn't be an incense guy but he actually is haha. I also think of all the people she's actually dated he would be the most likely to talk about or care about legacies, since he's pretentious. Ultimately, whoever it's about, it's not a nice song - The way she says fucking legacy at the end is biting. So it confuses me when people want to claim it for their favorite ships.
