Omg just got to the Long Story Short analysis and so much is making sense about the beards to lovers timeline and storyline now. I always thought LSS was yet another song about 2016, but actually the “I dropped my sword, I threw it in the bushes and knocked on your door” could be a reference to “threw out our cloaks and our daggers cause it’s brighter now”, as in a 2019 breakup with the Lover muse, aka Lily. Just gotta say again, great analysis by you and your guest! And glad I finally went back to listen to these episodes!

2023-07-21 21:41:38 +0000 UTCI’m wayyy late to the party but this is such a great breakdown and analysis. And as a former Kaylor (not LSK, but same same), I see and understand the Lily of it all. Also, side note, has it been mentioned before the mention of 17 in I Think He Knows (“It’s like I’m 17, nobody understands”) and Betty (“I’m only 17, I don’t know anything”) 🤯 I’m only like 1/3 of the way through this episode so maybe it’s mentioned later on or in another episode. But that just came to mind 😵

2022-01-20 17:49:34 +0000 UTCI just feel so much better that I’ve heard all of this spelled out because kaylor made sense to an extent but also really fukn didn’t and this just makes me breathe a sigh of relief 😂😂 ever since fearless I’ve been on team taylor can write about whatever the hell she wants and we don’t have to take everything so literally but you guys did a great job at keeping that in mind and matching the obvious with the more abstract.
