Hooked! Ch05 Shark Beta Release

[EDIT:] Itch is a different system from Patreon entirely, and all they know is whether you have an active pledge. If you cancel your membership, you do not have an active pledge. So make sure you still have an active pledge while attempting to access the update. Otherwise, you won't get access. If it still doesn't work, then let me know. Some times, it's just a fluke.

Oooohhh let's go!!!

This one has been in the oven for a bit. My reflections on why it took as long as it did are that I was nervous about a lot of stuff with this chapter. There's a lot of content here that I kept telling myself had to be perfect, and I put a lot of pressure on myself. In the end, I just decided I had to go with it and not worry so much about it being perfect.

There's that, and there's also the fact that this chapter has wayyyy more animation than the previous ones. I think I'm gonna have to chill out a bit with the animations in future chapters. I did a lot of animation frame by frame because I had fun with the way it looked. The way I implemented some of the animations was really un-optimized, though. So one of the things I'm gonna be working on the coming week is to optimize those. That's the biggest reason this chapter is such a jump in file size.

Oh, and there's also audio on the videos in this chapter! I know that's something a lot of you have been requesting, so now it's finally in there.

I opted to go for a more straight-forward NSFW scene in this one, with fewer branches. Mainly because I felt like I knew which choice everyone would pick...

1. Converted a bunch of frame-by-frames to video, reducing the file size, but not a lot :(

2. Added the filming scene and the Helen nsfw scene to replay snippets.

3. Made the phone convo progressable with space and enter keys, and made sure it doesn't stop you from skipping.

4. Made some of the slow-mo scenes more easy to skip through.

5. Minor fixes and tweaks to visuals, wording, and audio.

2025-24-08:

• Re-enabled 0.5.1 android build, as it seems to run just fine on my android phone. But I'm keeping 0.5.0 up just in case anyone has issues
