Hooked CH03 Beta release!

Hey guys! I'm releasing the ch03 beta now! Let me know if you find anything wrong, such as misspellings, obvious visual errors, etc. I'll be playtesting too, ofc, but I've got a sizeable checklist of things I want to fix. You might notice a sudden change in the background during the Helen scene. I'm working on re-rendering the scene in its entirety, and it'd take more than just tonight. So it'll release as is, for now. I'll be coming back and editing this post whenever I make an update to this in the coming weeks.

Initial changes from previous version are:

• New cursor (pointer and regular)

• Chapter three

Updating with a new build now (0.3.1.) Thanks for the feedback, guys! Also forgot to mention, that if you don't see your save files anywhere, the new location of the saves folder is here:
Try looking for a saves folder either called "Hooked-saves" or "Struggles-(bunch of numbers)", your old save files should be in one of those. Just move them over to the new directory.

Changes in this update include:

• Fixed spelling mistakes

• Fixed chapter number blunders in the end screen

• Fixed Hannah randomly changing outfit

2024-10-17:

New build (0.3.2)!

• Re-rendered Helen's scene to fix some coherency errors in the background

• Fixed some reflections where you could see the "void" in the background

• Some small dialogue changes

Got some more polishing planned. Still listening for feedback, too, if you guys have any!

2024-10-20:

New build (0.3.3)!

• A new menu: "Replay Snippets!" It's essentially a gallery. If you don't have anything unlocked in it, despite having played the whole game, just fast forward through it. It'll unlock all the nsfw scenes you go through. The button to open the menu might change in the future

• A few new sound effects for Max

• Slight overhaul to the load/save menu

• The hotdogs vs ice cream bug should be fixed now. But let me know if you find any issues with it

2024-10-21:

New build (0.3.3.1)

• There's issues with the new menu, ofc... Found a bunch of bugs I didn't notice while developing. Dismiss that menu for now, I'll try to focus on fixing it by the end of this week. But the game should not be crashing now, at least. I'll leave a version of 0.3.2 in the folder, just in case.

New build (0.3.3.2)

• Yet another build y'all, same day, lol. I'm doing these without notifications cause I feel like they're not very exciting updates. Couldn't stay away, was so stressed that the previous build was so buggy. Expected behavior for the Replay Snippet menu is this:

  • The snippets should be listed chronologically according to the story.

  • There should be four per page.

  • It shouldn't crash.

The menu itself looks a bit wonky on Android. Expect a fix for that later this week!

2024-10-23:

New build (0.3.4)! This'll be the final one before I publish it for the Squire tiers this friday, I think. Unless you guys find more bugs!

• Multiple visual tweaks on the UI. It's a bit more coherent now, and the Replay menu looks better on mobile.

• Some minor changes to the tutorial.

• Refactoring (code stuff)

That's about it, I think. I hope that all the Knights have been able to try it by now! I'll go ahead and start on chapter four!
