Dragon Ball Z: The Ultimate Filler Review

Dragon Ball Z was the ultimate anime for me as a kid! And with this video I will have successfully covered the entire series! The filler of Dragon Ball is notorious and I'm eager to see just how much merit there is to that notion. I adore this story and I wanted to pour my heart into a passion project like this for so long! I hope you have fun watching this love letter to the adventures of Goku, Gohan, Vegeta and Goten and Trunks as they try to navigation their complicated circumstances in the compelling and magical world of Dragon Ball Z

And to answer your question I prefer to have filler arcs over stretching out the canon material to absurd lengths. Give me fun arcs or insight to characters that don't get alot of screentime in canon over excessive padding anyday. Granted the only shows I've seen in full where this would be a real issue are Inuyasha and Dragon Ball. When Naruto and Bleach were coming out I learned that there was this thing called manga and they were way ahead of the animated material so for the most part I stuck with that and came back to watch filler that seemed interesting to me and to see certain stuff animated. Like you said its mostly not an issue this day in age (One Piece aside) but a lot of shonen series adopt a seasonal approach nowadays the last big weekly shonen anime I remember checking out was Black Clover. But a thing to remember is where the filler material is placed in airing can be important in how much people are willing to be receptive to it. About a year and a half ago I went back and watched most of Bleach's filler and while most of the material was okay with some standout moments, the placement of some of this material must have been infuriating if you were an anime only fan.
