Dragon Ball Z was the ultimate anime for me as a kid! And the Saiyan saga was my first introduction to what would become a life long obsession! I adore this story and I wanted to pour my heart into a passion project like this for so long! I hope you have fun watching this love letter to the adventures of Goku, Gohan, Krillin and Piccolo as they try to defeat the evil Nappa and the heinous Vegeta!

I think this video is your masterpiece. I love all your work, but much like Hirohito Araki I see how you get better with each new series you approach. And this DragonBall Z series is presented with such deft detail and finesse that I felt I knew the series even thought when I first watched it I had yet to watch Z at all. I’ve rectified that now due to the excitement you created with your vids and I’m so glad I did. When you announce “Jaharobe again!” I don’t think I could have enjoyed an analysis video more. Bravo. Thank you for this. We all see the passion you have for this series. It’s the type of love I hope to have for each new anime/manga I get into.

I’m sad to say that as I found more series since then, I fell into the trap of believing that while DB was iconic, it wasn’t the same level of quality as more “better” series like FMA, One Piece, Death Note, AOT, etc. It was the Marvel popcorn movie compared to the artistic Oscar winners. I’m happy to say that your review of DB caused me to revisit my first favorite series and realize just how great quality it actually is. Thrilled to see the continuation with Z - easily my most anticipated of your series. Thank you, Mark. Also, my god did I get chills at that Majin Vegeta teaser.

OG DragonBall is just such a nice, neat, tied up in a bow package and Z just puts that package into an even bigger package full of goodies. I love the series now and think it gets maybe too much hate. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the ending of Z and the saga as a whole.
