After reading the chapter I was searching online for a nuanced and thoughtful conversation about the ending and all I could find were memes dunking on this or that. People compressing nuanced arguments and feelings that took you 20 minutes to convey (excellently) into a single sh*tpost image... :P
I think you nailed it with the pacing point; about the first 20 pages of the chapter needing room to breathe. Maybe we'll see the manga spend more time in this section! Maybe an episode all to itself on the first 20 pages and an episode for the last 30? Time will tell I suppose!
