2024-09-17 02:26:59 +0000 UTCHahahaha! I have a story for Amber! Back in 2000 or 2001 I went to Guam for a military exercise. For about 10 days, we loaded planes with munitions for the USAF to drop on this tiny island of the coast. You have to understand Guam. There are no birds on the island (at least there wasn't back then) because all the snakes ate the bird eggs. And because there were no birds, there was nothing to eat the FROGS. In the very early morning hours, the frogs would come out to sit on the warm roads. I had to drive large trailers (some full of munitions, some empty) back and forth to the flightline for the planes. Imagine my surprise when I turn onto the the road full of frogs. I had munitions to move and planes to load. You couldn't avoid them so you just had to drive over them. They were like tiny water balloons popping. And by mid to late morning and early afternoon, with the sun cooking the roads, the smell was awful!
