I *loved* Station Eleven, and have watched it several times. It was not universally loved, though, and I don't know how much support a reaction series to it would get.
Part of its lack of universal appeal was just bad timing. It had the misfortune of being a show ostensibly about the aftermath of a pandemic that was released around the time of Covid. The pandemic was, of course, just the engine that drove the beginning parts of the story, but nevertheless, the public was pretty pandemic-fatigued at the time the show came out and I think that drove a lot of people away.
But also, the show also took its time in telling its story, which a certain type of viewer might find very frustrating. I disagree wholeheartedly that the pacing of the show was slow, but I do know that some people, accustomed to a more straightforward kind of storytelling, were unhappy with the show.
I'm not saying this to discourage Mary or anyone from watching it -- I think it was brilliant and moving and ultimately uplifting, and yes, I think it's something that people owe it to themselves to watch. But I do note that there have been very few reactions to the show and I think that's because it isn't the most popular of shows. I would love to see that change though. I would love to experience it again as a watch-along, that's for sure.

"Station Eleven" should be mandatory viewing for all post apocalypse fans.
