Yes, the reintroduction of the Master into the new series was a big deal, because the character's rivalry with the Doctor goes back to 1971.

2025-09-05 07:36:17 +0000 UTCSo you wouldn't know this, but the Master is from the Classic series. The Doctor and the Master have quite a history... a bit of which will be explored as we go. The only thing you really need to know is that he's a renegade Time Lord and not a nice one, which you pretty much saw.
