It seems to me that a big part of season 4 is driving home just how mistreated the Belters are. Murtry was specifically picked for his murderousness and ordered to get rid of the Belters, period. The Earth corp that hired him doesn't value Belters lives at all and surely must figure that he'll likely just murder them. Murtry handpicked his crew, selecting those who were absolutely loyal to him probably because he went in with murder in mind. The Belters knew this was the case and tried to prevent the Earthers from landing. Seeing how callous Earthers can be toward Belters will provide context for S5 and on.

Naomi code-switches. Meaning she uses her natural Belter accent around other Belters, but uses a more generic accent (Dominique Tipper's own natural British accent) when communicating with non-Belters. We saw a lot of it bsck in Season 3. It's something that a lot people who live in English-speaking places but come from non-English families end up doing. They speak one way to their English-speaking friends and another way to their family. I used to do that growing up, being from an Indian family, but born and raised in the U.S.
Also just to clarify Nancy Gao's position, she's not saying people should vote for her because she helped the people that would have won the job lottery instead of her. That's just her countering Avasarala's specific talking point that people should consider what happened to the person that was not picked because of Gao's family connection.
Gao's position is that the entire system is very broken, and its just dumb luck whether someone can get a job or has to effectively be homeless by living on just basic assistance. If you remember back to Season 2, we met the character Nico who had been in the lottery to become a doctor for almost 40 years. Even Amos has talked about how brutal loving on basic is. Gao is arguing that the Rings gives Earth an opportunity to give those 5,999 people who are damned to live on basic assistance a chance to actually have jobs and purpose.
Obviously as viewers, we know this can be a huge risk because the Rings are Protomolecule Builder technology. But to the people of earth who are likely suffering and can barely get food, it probably sounds very appealing. Avasarala is the 1% of the 1% and his lived her whole life with a silver spoon, so as good as she is at what she does, her lecturing people about the "fairness" of the current system likely feels incredibly tone-deaf.
