That defense lawyers defend people they know are guilty and prosecutors try to jail people they know are innocent says to me the whole profession is immoral and stupid. Criminal lawyers should not exist and instead be replaced by court investigators whose only purpose is to gather facts for the judge or jury. No defense or prosecutor bias, no lies or hiding of evidence to protect personal records of success, just the presentation of facts to be judged. No more criminal lawyers, just criminal investigators for the court.
