Hope the craziness of the holiday's doesn't have you getting too out of sorts. But do remember, you never know when a Yule Lad may be watching you and reporting in...
Here's our favorite ways to use the Yule Lads:
Door Sniffer
- Have your players find an object that will catch their interest and excitement... and then have Door Sniffer catch a whiff of it and decide he wants it more! Have him turn invisible, pick pocket it from them, and then a sneeze attack out of nowhere to knock them down as he runs off with his new prized posession!
Candle Snatcher
- Have your players entering into a room full of baubles and treasures, looking for a McGuffin. Suddenly, all of the light is expelled from the room, and the party is now confused in the pitch black. Suddenly the room is lit up by a fireball breathed from Candle Snatcher, and combat breaks out in the dark room.
Window Peeper
- Give the players a nice tavern or inn to unwind in, after a long adventure on the road. They'll relax and enjoy the accommodations, and after finally turning in for the night they'll suddenly get their gear pilfered, while Window Peeper watches from the window. As they awake, they see him wink with his large eyes, and then scurry off into the night
