Animated faves: *Nightmare Before Christmas'* (Tim Burton)... probably better to save for Halloween / Christmas though; *Beauty & the Beast* (1991)... first animated film to be nominated for an Academy Award as one of the Best Pictures with the live-action films (not in the animated category).

2025-04-16 02:33:48 +0000 UTCYes, Wall-E won for best animated feature film, but it was also nominated in 5 other categories, including best original screenplay. For Toy Story, I think you meant Jessie, not Wendy. But you did say it's been a long time, so we'll forgive you. 😜 While I've watched a number of Studio Ghibli anime and liked them a lot, I wouldn't say I'm a big anime fan. I've also heard that it can be difficult to avoid copyright hits for Studio Ghibli movies. Not a problem for uncut, I suppose (though I don't know that I have access to those movies), but an edited version could be problematic. If you're looking for other animated movies, I did like all the ones you mentioned, but other than those, I think my biggest recommendation would be Moana.
