2025-04-03 23:56:34 +0000 UTCAgree with you completely on Uncle Buck and While You Were Sleeping. I don't know why While You Were Sleeping gets so overlooked by reaction channels. I think, in particular, it makes a great Christmas time watch. As far as irreverent homages / spoofs go.... I adore Galaxy Quest. Maybe because it's more gentle loveletter poking fun at the genre & fandom than overly wacky spoof.

I'm not actually a big fan of farce comedy, but I did enjoy watching it with you guys; I haven't seen it in a long time. John Candy (Barf) isn't necessarily my favorite comedy actor, but I did really like Uncle Buck, if you were looking to watch something more with him. I can't believe you've never seen Bill Pullman in anything else. You're probably just too young. He's probably best known for Independence Day (which is pretty good), but he's also in one of my favorite Romcoms, While You Were Sleeping (with Sandra Bullock). Oh, and Kylie? You look gorgeous with or without makeup. 😍
