Love this, and I see what you mean about El killing papa, as much as I wanted it, it would effect her character moving forward, she doesn't need the guilt on her mind. The Hawkins group is so badass, their story line has been the driving plot in this season for me. I love Hop in Russia so far, and I like El training, both add a lot to the season and the El training has given us a lot of needed information. But if you cut the two from the show you'd still have an awesome story

2025-03-25 14:06:31 +0000 UTCAs much as I wanted Brenner to be ended... I didn't want El to kill Papa. It would be more personally vengeful... and I'd rather she not go down that path. The Hawkins crew are so darn brave. And Nancy is their fearless leader. I admire them because they have no special powers... and they are scared... but they are willing to dive into danger to save their town and loved ones. Unlike us, they have no idea if El is viable at all... so they aren't going to sit around and just hope for a last minute save. They're the only ones in town that can take a shot at Vecna.... or die trying. I adore every one of them. Will relating his own disguised feelings with Mike was heartbreaking. And he was totally lying about El commissioning that painting, of course. I think in episode 1, El mentioned in a letter to Mike that Will was painting something that he wouldn't let anyone see. Will and El see Mike as the Heart of the group because they are both in love with him. But truthfully, Mike hasn't truly been the heart of the group since S1, maybe S2. If he was, he wouldn't be minimally involved off to the side this year. He supports El... or at least he does now... and that's important. But for me... this year, the Heart of the group beats in Hawkins with Nancy, Steve, Robin, Dustin, Eddie, Max, Lucas, and Erica.

2025-03-25 01:55:57 +0000 UTCI loved Will & Eleven's hug even more than her one with Mike. Seemed more genuinely emotional. Probably because Millie Bobby Brown & Noah Schnapp (Will) are very close friends in real life. And the one thing that I really like about Jonathan is that he is a deeply caring big brother. That's a dynamic that I'd like to see more of... Eleven and her brothers. Especially if Joyce & Hopper end up making a permanent blended family, hopefully.
