It's funny that you mention Napoleon in your opening. Because one of the last songs that plays before Mark leaving is ABBA's Waterloo.

2025-03-23 14:27:04 +0000 UTCWhen the Hermes decides to alter their course and go back for Mark... knowing NASA won't like it... they send a text message that reads: "Houston, be advised - Rich Purnell is a Steely-eyed Missile Man." (Rich Purnell is Donald Glover's character, who came up with their plan.) So, 'Steely-eyed Missile Man' is a longtime NASA saying to show high regard for someone's capabilities. It goes back to real life NASA engineer John Aaron for his crucial role as flight controller for the Apollo 12 & Apollo 13 missions. It may go back before that, but John Aaron is regarded as the definitive Steely-eyed Missile Man. Anyway... If you guys watch other NASA related movies... you just might hear that saying again.
