Hello all! Thank you all for your support and loyalty while I've been hosting 2 group trips to Japan this month. Leading 48 artists through Japan is crazy - some people even went on their first flights for this trip! NUTS!
I wanted to share my reflections on my trip through my sketchbook with you all. I'll share some of these drawings on Instagram, but here you will see the full sketchbook and what I learned during this trip.
Be sure to join my newsletter to be the first to hear about my next group trip launch!

I followed my own assignment from my workshop - draw a person how you observe them, then draw a character based on your first drawing. Now I was able to PUSH my design and shapes to find the essence of this character!

By the end of the first group trip, I was finally loosening up and feeling inspired to push shapes and explore characters more.

The snow monkey park was incredible! All the monkeys were napping, grooming each other, or chilling. They were the perfect life drawing models! Also - so many cute babies!

By the end of the trip, I was feeling so inspired to draw - but I wish I carried more than a pen with me!
