There are so many purposeful connections to '80s movies thru out Stranger Things. Like how you recently noticed the nods to Die Hard and Terminator in S3. In Stranger Things S1... the kids are walking along the railroad tracks in direct homage to Stand By Me. 2024-09-20 14:14:38 +0000 UTCI'll come clean, I was Vern at that age, but that's not so bad when there's no teddy bear around and you're surrounded by real friends who never mean harmless jokes in a bad way and who you can count on 100% when you need them π Nice reaction by the way, especially the part where you talked about Stephen King. I love all the novels, short stories and movie adaptations of his work, but know basically nothing about the man himself, which I should probably change, because hearing that apparently some of his life had an influence on this story made it that much more interesting.
