Some process from my latest piece, Snooze! Each image is captioned with a little info.
Here's an update on the materials I used. I scrapped the gummy, it wasn't working for my last piece and so I tried not using it and it turned out better I think. This piece is much flatter/smoother and was much easier to apply paint than the last.
- I got this new watercolour paper and it's really flat and thick! The previous paper I used was pretty toothy so this was a cool upgrade. BUT the masking tape peeled some of the paper off!! I used two different masking tapes and it still peeled! This paper is hella sensitive.

- Another new product I used is this masking tape. It's supposed to be very good for paint and not bleed through at all. And it was right! Bit pricey for tape, but it got me nice clean edges. Downfall that it kinda ruined my paper, but I think that's the paper's fault.

- And I got a palette knife! When I was using a really small brush for details, I would use it to mix the paint which was inefficient and ruined my brush. I could also just use a bigger brush in my water but then it would waste paint and I'd have to spend the time to clean the brush well first. This was cheap and helped things move along quicker. Would recommend.
