Wildflowers
Added 2020-06-05 17:26:34 +0000 UTCI started this piece last week and took a little break from drawing this week so when I finally got back to it, I did not have the momentum to finish it. Felt like a drag 😪 Especially because I had no idea what colours I wanted to use. Green and purple? Blue and green? I don’t usually use these colour combos so it was tough to visualize. It was another challenge when I found out I can only have 34 layers on this piece, so I had to keep merging layers as I painted.
I’m still not happy with the colours and think I could’ve planned this piece better. I don’t usually make colour thumbnails, but I feel like this would’ve helped a lot. Oh well! You learn and you grow! My next piece will be stronger. Don’t think I’ll make extreme renderings like this again any time soon, too drained.
