Beauty Inktober Process Post
Added 2019-10-23 17:00:03 +0000 UTCThis is the second piece I made in one night. Usually I can do it fine, but after a long week of work, and being discouraged from my recent inktober pieces, I got messy and lazy and make lots of mistakes and smudges on this piece.
I tried to rush through it, just trying to finish the 31 pieces, enough to make 31 pages for my upcoming zine. But it’s hard to make 31 quality pieces in a row. Perhaps even impossible. My eyes weren’t able to keep open when I was finishing this piece, and smudged a lot of the ink everywhere- you can see it a little in my last image below, more so on my final piece when I post it.
I think I should start thinking quality over quantity, and slow my roll on these pieces. I won’t die if I don’t finish 31 pieces, and I won’t die if I don’t make each piece perfect. With this new mindset moving forward, I hope to relax a bit about inktober and make a few more quality pieces.
