Monstera Inktober Process Post
Added 2019-10-14 18:01:01 +0000 UTCI knew exactly what colours I wanted in this piece, but I was still so indecisive! I just got some red ink and wanted to try it out so bad but I knew I didn’t want it on this piece. Heck I considered it for so long but in the end decided to go with green pastels.
I also had to google house plants to figure out what the monstera plant was called! I’ve seen it everywhere and can draw it but I wanted to see one to reference it. I always have a hard time angling leaves and they always look so flat. I made sure to get other angles in there other than a straight on leaf.
I learned my lesson from my pieces Bambi and Bunny not to overcrowd the price, so I always made sure to take a step back and look at the whole composition. I might have put a little too much and yet somehow not enough. Next time!
